Holiday themes can be among the toughest to top from year to year, and it’s a challenge that Colette’s Catering in Fullerton, California, has tackled since 2007. Their Halloween-focused Moonlight Masquerade draws approximately 300 locals annually to the nearby Muckenthaler Mansion—a venue Colette’s also partners with for weddings.
“Keeping it innovative and fun on the culinary side is relatively easy for us because that’s what we do every day,” says Duane Greenleaf, co-owner of Colette’s Catering. “The hardest thing is trying to keep the décor exciting, because if you’re doing a theme, and it’s based around Halloween, for example, you tend to go to the same colors and setups, so providing a different ‘feel’ and mixing it up is huge for us.” (click to read more)
